Just looking on the BBC news site and tomorrow the hottest place in the country is forecast to be Worksop, at 41c

Guess where my daughter is staying with a friend and needs picking up from at 4pm ? :(
Ouch, isn't it meant to peak more around that time as well rather then 1pm-2pm like it usually would?

So, went out to do the pick up, daughter and her boyfriend in the back of the car, wife in the front. 2 miles down the road and the car blew a tyre. No spare, just a compressor and can, which obviously did sod all.
40c, £250 and 90m of hell later we got going again.
F**k my life 😔

Rain tomorrow where I am. Not much of it but the lawn desperately needs it. There's only so much you can do with a hose.

Why water grass? It's as tough as hell.

I've coped quite well but right now at 8.36pm on day 2 of the heatwave I feel uncomfortable hot, maybe linked to the amount I've eaten today which is a lot.

No chance of sleeping upstairs tonight. 31C and 58% humidity. 22c downstairs. This will seem feeble to others, but it's totally out of my zone.

Trading from my garden again. A coolish 25ºC, though it will drop further.

Very civilised temperatures for outside trading. :)

Really fancy some fish & chips tonight, but switching my oven on is gonna tip the temperature over 30.
