Was 15 stone 10lbs before Christmas so highly likely at 16 stone.
At 42 that's not a brilliant weight but I'm 6ft 4in high so I'm not in the world of obesity.
I had been 17stone 6lbs not too long ago, I am on a weight loss journey already but it's a marathon, not a sprint.
I use MyFitnessPal app to scan barcodes on food for calorie counting and allows me to track weight.
Have had other apps recommended to me but I just stick with that (I use freebie version).

I've tried Wegovy and it worked wonders on the appetite but gave me horrible indigestion at night and made me really nauseous and sometimes physically sick in the mornings.
My doctor chum said I should probably give it another go but take anti-sickness meds with it too.
Or I could just eat less.

Quite. Billions could be saved by following the simple mantra: Eat less. Exercise more.

1) Find a like-minded mate
2) Each buy a cheap Garmin exercise tracker
3) Use the free Garmin Connect app and link to each other's profile
4) Repeat 3) above with the free Strava app.
A mixture of your inbuilt competitive spirit - and fear of being shamed by your mate - will ensure that within a month neither of you will recognise yourselves. You'll feel reinvigorated within a matter of days, but after a week or two your scales and dropping heart rate will give you the proof you need.
The best present you'll ever give yourself.
MyFitnessPal has already been mentioned on here - link this free app to the Garmin Connect and MFP will automatically re-calculate your available calories to reflect both what you've eaten that day and any exercise you've had, but you do have to input meal details (often just scanning a bar code from your food packaging) so slightly more effort. You can 'save' a meal, however, so the next time you just select it from a drop-down.

Almost posted to the thread on Tuesday, my weigh in day.
Almost -7lbs so far. I cajoled my wife into joining me to engage our competitive spirit. My aim is to be at my lightest for the last decade. But it's going to take some time to achieve that.

I am still going I knew I would put on weight early Jan as plenty going on (summer here so BBQ's and the like) so am now making some head way, I have lost the weight I put on early Jan and am at my weight pre festive season. So that's as plus.
Don't worry about the planet tico
I saw a protip the other day, for anyone that enjoys short midnight walks to the fridge

Good for the plant, far from it. It is better than the meat/dairy industry which isn't saying much. It's a bit like saying they are less drunk so they will drive, still going to end up a disasters at some point.
