As it says in the name the In-play trader is designed for just that - the ability to quickly place back or lay bets when the opportunity presents itself in the heat of the live action.

Just looking at the box now, there is a large space (fixed number of characters) after the left justified selection names and before the finishing post in a market I'm just looking at.

1) Could the selection names be right justified up against the finishing post rather than left justified and some distance from it in the case of short names? If not, could dot leaders be added to the area after the selection name to help line up the odds lines which follow the finishing post? Or could the finishing post be 'moveable' to cut down on the wasted space after the displayed names? (Or could the width of the market selection names be made to 'fit' the longest name in the market rather than just a fixed number of characters?)

2) This one I'd really like to see added. Rather than have to locate the selection, then move the cursor to the odds line to place the back/lay bets, how about having the option (within settings with the default setting being 'OFF'), to make the slection name ACTIVE, so for all of the options other than 'Price based on mouse position', left clicking the selection name would place a back bet and right clicking the selection name would place a lay bet (when Left-click Back, Right-click Lay staking option is selected). This would really speed up the ability to place bets in the heat of ther action.

3) Is there any way multiple In-play Trader screens could be used across several markets, in a similar way to the excellent spawning of the one-click and ladder screens for multiple markets.

Thanks in advance for considereing these suggestions BA :)

I've just seen that the In-play Trader names are in fact already active and can be used to place back or lay bets! :)

Perhaps the selection name could become highlighted (bold or blue?) when the mouse is over any area that is active on that selection?

Maybe there could be a new 'In-play Trader' tab in settings to allow editing of the In-play Trader screen as you can with the Ladder screen?

The In-play Trader screen uses the stake settings as set on the One-click screen (that's fine), but it automatically uses the global settings rather than act in the same way as the One-click screen does - ie if the settings cog is checked on the One-click screen it doesn't uses the global settings yet the In-play Trader screen still does by default - imo it would be better if the In-play Trader screen did the same as the One-click screen regarding using/not using the global settings.

I've also just noticed that the 'Custom ticks outside best market price' seems to back/lay INSIDE the best market price and the 'Custom ticks inside best market price' seems to back/lay OUTSIDE the best market price - or have I got that wrong?

I would have thought that 'Custom ticks OUTSIDE best market price' would place back bets at odds longer than the best back price available and place lay bets at odds shorter than the best lay price available and that 'Custom ticks INSIDE best market price' would place back bets at odds shorter than the best back price available and place lay bets at odds longer than the best lay price available?

...in addition to the above suggestions, please could we have the following added to the In-play Trader sorting drop-down list:

Sort by First Name (Ascending)
Sort by First Name (Descending)
Sort by Last Name (Ascending)
Sort by Last Name (Descending)

and/or if it can sort to duplicate any sorting already done on the main One-click screen that would also be excellent (it currently uses the back/lay stakes set in the main One-click screen so this should be possible)

...as always, thanking you in advance BA :)

A question for Dallas (or anyone else :) )

The In-play trader takes it's stakes and staking method from the One-click screen settings - does it also observe all the other global settings by default, irrespective of whether the global settings cog is checked or unchecked in the One-click screen?

ie Place fill or kill bets? Offset bet (or other options)? Offset ticks? Offset batches? Stop trigger (ticks)?

Thanks in advance :)

The global setting cog needs to be activated so the IP trader can use all those options you mention.

If not, it defaults to the one click screen "All" stake, back or lay.

As well as sorting by the additional first and last names mentioned above, sorting by P&L would be welcome sorting additions to the above:

Sort by First Name (Ascending)
Sort by First Name (Descending)
Sort by Last Name (Ascending)
Sort by Last Name (Descending)
Sort by P&L (Ascending)
Sort by P&L (Descending)

...and also adding

Custom ticks inside best REVERSE market price
Custom ticks outside best REVERSE market price

would be welcome additions to the in-play Trader odds setting choices - all of which you can already do on the one-click screen and ladder :)

The One-click screen puts a rectangle around the active cell which is a good visual warning and something similar would be most welcome to the In-play Trader screen - the selection name simply being highlighted (and enlargened) in bold black or bold blue would be great :)

...if not a rectangle around the active selection cell, then perhaps the in-play trader selection name could become bold (before you've clicked) when you are in that selection cell just to visually confirm that you are in the correct active cell - alternatively if the entire cell could highlight in a colour that would be another way to highlight the active selection cell (as happens in the Dutching and Bookmaking tabs with the 'Clear' and Place Bets' cells - the cells are coloured when the mouse is over them to show they are active) and help avoid any mistakes - yes it shows the active cell at the screen bottom but that's too far away from your focus to look away from and return in the heat of the battle!

It would be most useful if the following could be added to the drop-down options in the In-play Trader:

Custom ticks inside best REVERSE market price
Custom ticks outside best REVERSE market price

In the Servant Parameter drop-down options we already have:

Custom ticks above best reverse market price
Custom ticks below best reverse market price

and there are many more that would also be most useful to have in the In-play Trader drop-down options.
