Hello
My suggestion is that to can add to a rule in automation the ability to change the colour of the row that the automation is applied too.
lol the above isn't clear so an example:
I have 20 football matches loaded up in Guardian and all have an automation rule set applied. the first match is Torquay Utd vs Man City, KO 1500 (UEFA Champ League final).
In the automation rules; rule 1 is place a back bet, within rule 1 is a condition that when the rule is triggered the line on Guardian which has Torquay Utd vs Man City turns blue.
In the automation rules; rule 2 is when Torquay Utd scores then green up all selections. When this rule is triggered the line on Guardian which has Torquay Utd vs Man City turns green.
The other 19 matches have similar rules.
I can take a quick look at Guardian and see what is going on with one glance.

one more thing ...
maybe the font could be changed too e.g. bold, size, strike through
Automation rules to change colour in Guardian row
Not sure I understand your suggestion right, but could you not just use coloured alerts and maybe coloured columns similar to how Dallas did in this thread?
So if a back is triggered you get an alert with that colour
If a lay is triggered you get an alert with that colour
