The ability to copy conditions from one rule to another would be a great time saver. I tried editing the text file, which is far from straight forward. Didn't work even when I reverted back to the original copy of the file. BA thought it was a different version, until I closed BA and restarted it.

Nothing worse than creating a rule, duplicating it 50 times then realising you made a mistake or need an edit

I'm sure back in the mists of time someone did a rule editor front end. Two windows, cut/paste, differences etc. Can't remember anything more than that but I'm >50% sure. Cue Dallas.......

Perhaps a readable XML like file format would help, albeit not an answer. All the data is there in the file but no labels or indication of the start and finish to a rule or condition.

it was me. made a little utility that opened up a rule and allowed you to copy it to either the clipboard or another file. unfortunately, it was at rule level, rather than condition level. i dropped further updates on it once BA offered up a facility to copy rules between files.

the ability to copy conditions tho is still a valid feature request and gets my +1

[edit] - lol, did a quick search for the utility: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=12022&p=102418&hil ... es#p102418

the advice is great , the missing link is a duplicating tool ....we need to capture those evolutionary changes without having start all over again.

For anyone reading this thread in the future the option to copy conditions was added as part of the V1.57 update
