Are there any plans in place to assist the in running traders to help with the growing persistence of drones at the race courses and the time advantage it gives them?

The Bet Angel In-Play Trader software is all you need.

Adjust the speed settings to 20ms and you have a fast visual reference point in-play.

I don't think drones will outlast increase levels of technology and things like automation.

It's quite a complicated and imperfect solution to race reading. Let's see.

It amazes me how they don’t put no fly zones over races courses. The software on most drones like DJi has it incorporated.

One of the advantages is you can literally draw a square around the horse and jockey you wish to follow and the drone will recognise it and follow it.

The other advantage is you can get rangy drones.

My personal one has 10km.

I have sat on a mountain in Spain and landed it on my back garden.

Can’t say the drones have effected my trading though.

The drone users are using good quality cameras with zoom and setting up on land near the racecourse. They don't tend to overfly the course. That's how they are getting around restrictions.

The successful in-running guys I know of are using TPD in their automation.

Traditional rail runners still have the monopoly over tech like UAV, GPS, social media and trading boxes. So wouldn't be over concerned, or worried. Just get your feed, and race reading skills up to speed ...

I agree with Shaun. If you can make more than an extra tenner a week what's the problem. We run businesses and all businesses compare cost with profit. It's just outsourcing.

I just wish I had the brains to wire it all together. That's how the syndicates get big, it can all become too much work for one pair of hands. Maybe I need to lurk around the Uni offering an unpaid internship :)

I'm sure I heard once that TPD was £20/day/course, obviously I'm wrong or they've radically changed their fees.

I agree when you break it down. However personally for me I am lucky enough to have other sources free to all that helps me read how a race will pan out.

And experience 😬👴
