can anyone explain why my £100 stake has not been returned on this trade.
They Said the back bet was not taken, but clearly it was.
I don't like having my money stolen from me.

it might be one of those cancelled after late in-play suspension things. The scheduled off was 09:50 and the bet was 09:50:49. I noticed the pay out took a while suggesting that they might have had to sort something out.

I also lost out on the race.

The fav was 1.24 or something. They started, and race was turned in play perfectly.

After about 50 metres, the rider on a 20/1 chance (in 2nd), raised his left arm, which apparently indicates an equipment problem, and the race was stopped.

The race was re-opened for betting, before they went off again.

All bets in-play, from the initial start were voided. The 1.24 shot got beat.

so even though my trades were matched, i still lose because the 2nd bet went 3 seconds in play. good job that wasn't one of my bigger bets, i would be fuming. At least i made more than they took.

Was the bet voided? You can look in the bet history to list voided bets.

There are 3 certain things in life - death, taxes and a P/L from Memphis that has no use whatsoever

If it helps, the initial lays I made on the 1.24 fav in running were all voided.

It’s v possible they settled mkt wrongly, but can’t be bothered etc

ditto -might just be me, but i could see no evidence of any orphaned bets, tho maybe the back bet was later voided and thus the £100 mystery, but still was poorly explained in either case.
