Yes, it typically takes about 35 - 40 minutes. For me it always happens once a month.
Can't Connect to VPS
Anyone else’s VPS go down at 3.08am this morning?
I restart my VPS twice a week and do updates but it often seems to go down on a Saturday morning.
And then once it goes down, no bets place after that even though the it comes back 30 mins later

Microsoft updates release last night by a coincidence?
I updated all my VPS's yesterday evening and none went offline this morning.
If anybody wants to contact support with your IP we can see if there is a pattern with those that saw an outage and speak to the datacentre to see if they did anything on any nodes?

It seems like we collectively forget the answer to this issue every month or so

Does your automation still place bets even when the VPS returns?
As mine doesn't

Been saying that was the cause for a long long time - first time I've seen that they 'fessed up ?!
That's the problem of virtual machines - you're at the mercy of the hypervisor being updated by the provider with no control over the process at all.
If you have a physical server then you can turn updates off and it will keep running non-stop - apart from people pulling wrong switches, hardware failure, aog etc
