We had one other report overnight. So will raise that with the datacentre and see if we can isolate the issue. All mine worked fine.

If you ever want to swap a server, just let us know and we can move you to a different node.

Thanks. I did report the issue to support, so that might have been me. If swapping a server will solve the problem then yes please.

I haven’t noticed any of mine go down since I v occasionally reboot them.

I think that’s the answer.

I think they're doing maintenance at the server farm. I had a non-BA machine go down at the same time.

Reviewing mine last night and seems to have been ok here, update and restart at least once a week seems to be doing the trick

My non-BA farm says to expect rolling updates between 15th and 26th April from 01:00 until 05:00 GMT. I'm not sure whether that maps exactly to the BA machines.

They also say that machines will be frozen, not restarted/updated, and that seems to describe what we've seen in the past, where BA is still open, but betting is suspended for a while (because the comms are down)

What updates, and for what software? A vps should be an environment you control.

Down again.
April Microsoft updates rolling out at the moment. If you don't force an update it will go offline for 1/2 hour will it updates.

Force the updates.

The same thing happens to both of my VPS with bet angel, always the 21st of every month- no matter if I update them and restart on the 19th or not! I could never get a concrete answer as to why. Seems it happens to a few people, goes down for about 30 mins then back up like nothing ever happened.

I think that post provides a clue to what has been a puzzling thread - two Virtual private servers going down at the same time and on multiple occasions is abnormal.

The clue is probably the V word. For virtual servers, a physical root server hosts multiple VPS's using software like Hypervisor. If the parent server / network on which the VPS's are running is taken down for any reason then all VPS's it is hosting will be offline as well.

Be interesting if you could get your provider to move one of your VPS instances to a guaranteed physically different server - if they will play ball. Reasonable bet that they then won't go down together ?

Downtime of 12 x 0.5h = 6 hours pa is way outside any modern SLA eg Simply guarantee 99.999% network uptime and 100% power for their VPS's.

Thanks for the Foxwood. I didnt see this comment earlier.

It's down again, and my others have had rolling outages over the past week.
