One of my machines died at about 4am - the normal death zone.

I never bothered to even check it - just waited for 2 hrs and logged back in.

Worked on other VSPS which was ok.
Thanks, god knows what happens in those early hours

We can't find a pattern. We have a load of them ourselves and none experience a drop on the same node.

Happened again! Update my VPS Monday and Friday night and yet it's done it again, no updates were done but it says Ararat r1 03:25 had £3,931 volume and last updated at 03:52:42 which is when it obviously came back, r2 Ararat volume was normal.

Problem is my bot won't place bets even after the outage so a whole nights worth of bets that aren't placed. I emailed support and they'd said they were looking into it but never got back to me...

Anyone suffer the same fate this morning?

I run 5 instances of BA on the £25 p/m VPS is that too much...but in saying that it seems to routinely go down around 3.20am for about half an hour
Happens every month for me always on the 20th no matter what I do. Have contacted support multiple times and they have never been able to give an answer. The only solution i have found is to "pause updates" on the 19th so it doesn't shut me out on the 20th. Try that and see if that works next month!

Cheers and thanks for the advice, but not ideal is it, already restart and update twice a week to avoid it and it still does it!

Have you tried running a Windows Server operating system? The user experience is almost identical and it's the right tool for the job. I run Windows Server 2019 Datacentre edition and it's been 100% up for well over a year now.

I don’t think load has any impact on restarting. I only run one
instance of BA professional on 5 servers. 3 will fail, 2 rarely do.

Maybe the way I am using it is wrong. I open 4-5 RDP tabs and switch between VPS.

I hear a windows crash alert when one dies.

Maybe forget that suggestion, I've just seen that you do too...

Again went down again last night (around 3.20 and came back 30 mins later) despite restarting and updating just hours before.

And again as the Aussie stuff was betting/cycling through the markets when it went down, no bets will be placed when it comes back so have to set up all again. But another BA that focuses on UK greyhounds won't be affected as it'll start updating around 8am, odd!

Around this time of the month too, I've been away for a few weeks before this and didn't restart once and it never did it.

Microsoft June updates applied this weekend.

The thing I don't understand is that none of my servers are affected. I really can't grasp why.

Am I able to try a different server?

Sure. If you can wait to swap it over till Monday that would be help as we are short staffed this weekend.
