Match Selection Software?

Hi all,

Apologies if this isn't the right place for this question, but what software do people use for football match selection? I've got the lifetime subscription for CGM Bet but it's quite clunky, buggy and takes *ages* to retrieve and filter data in any volume. It's fine for looking at fixtures on a single day but back-testing is very tiresome and I'm having to look at the data two months at a time and then export to a separate spreadsheet. It also only has sportsbook odds rather than BFSP. I know Lee Cal rates it (is he still active on here?), but is there anything better out there? I've seen various subscription data and spreadsheet type services around the web but I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Cheers!

Thanks Timevoyager, never heard of them so I'll check them out. £1 trial for a week seems fair, but £365 for the year seems pricey! Do their strategies actually work? Is it trading strategies they're offering or value betting?

I haven't got into testing their strategies as yet, I much prefer to find my own, and anyway, I've only been with them a short time.

Their "Team Stats" page, "League Table" pages, "Trends" pages, and "Database" page (which is configurable to search for a wealth of information), are quite outstanding.

There's even a "Live Stats Module" which gives live stats (eg., shots on target, corners, possession, odds, etc, etc), and even highlights when one of their own strategies (and there are many!) is suitable for a trade as the game progresses.

There's an excellent forum, with a good, healthy atmosphere between the members. They're a very helpful bunch, too!

Rather than me typing a whole list of information for you, JT, google search "Goal Profits review" and you'll find lots of review sites that can tell you much more in greater detail.

I guess that most paid services scrape this data and redress it. So that's ultimately what you are paying for.

The key thing to pricing a football match is how many goals either team is going to score and sites like soccerstats.com provide that and much more. I find it very useful.

The problem for us who have no clue about programming get this data and work with them. It's now easy task to learn deep Excell stuff and data scraping. At least for me
