Don't fret. It won't be long until we see the promised economic benefits of Brexit.... All those great trade deals since taking back control
The taking back control argument was interesting seeing as we didn't have anyone up to the job.
But let's not forget those new lucrative pork markets.

Yes indeed. We will be all over pork markets, and perhaps cheese also 😋

Is there anything people have to be excited about in this country currently? I genuinely don't think there is.

Depends what tax bracket you're in. If I heard correctly, the chancellor lifted the cap on wankers' bonuses. ;)

You could have posted that question to the Today's Football thread. I didn't even realise we were playing but just heard the news.

Plenty to be excited about in this country just depends on your social mix.

Just came back from a party in Chobham. And no I wasn’t playing the piano.

Don’t think I have ever been in a room with one billionaire, let alone a mansion full.

The good thing was they, like the rest of us, still say far too much when pissed.

All I will say is, good job I not a journalist who could ring their editor and stop/hold the print.

Derek, correction, not a nuclear bunker, it won’t survive a direct hit but is ok for 18 mile radius one. :)

Will I survive, probably not, but enough time to watch my step toe & son box set, plus cigars and dark rum.

At 53, what Better way to go ?

What kilo or megatonnage would the yield of the bomb have to be to survive 18 miles away?

You're pretty safe. The Tzar bomb that the Soviet Union detonated in the sixties was nothing more than an experiment, or a technology race with the US. Such bombs no longer exist. The accuracy of missiles has improved since then so they're more about targeting an area with multiple but smaller bombs.

You won't have a 50-megaton bomb dropped anywhere near you. You'll just have several 500-kiloton bombs scattered all around you.
