I've heard it's down to harsh weather in Europe and North Africa. It's only expected to last about 3 weeks. Personally, I can live without salad and veg. Trading is often about how to take the appropriate risk without exposing yourself to very human flaws.
The image of upturned veg crates on the shelves has been an increasingly common occurence round here. But interestingly Morrisons is the most affected. I can ony assume Sainsbury and Tesco customers aren't interested in those products. Or Morrisons don't have the same heft in negotiating with suppliers.
