You could only copy his actions not his thought process.
Trader Pat, I read your posts you look like a smart man, whatever someone would do for any reason if you follow and copy him you will always have the same results as him. It's true you don't know why he did something, but you know the conditions and it's enough to figure it out after gathering enough data. I kept talking about statistics. But that's not the point anyway.
You can watch every Liverpool game, you know the manager's decisions, the conditions and circumstances surrounding them, but you cannot possibly figure it out and manage the side yourself - you don't have the knowledge and experience!
If you have enough time you can become even better.
There is no magic formula, you just have to do the right thing when and where you need it.

That's not very helpful advice, is it? We all know it's better to do the right thing than the wrong thing. The question is, is there a right thing and if there is, what is it, when is it and where is it? :)

If you have an idea that you think is good, chances are that others have already tried it, try to do the opposite, to be different.
Think carefully about this. You don't have to be Einstien to come up with a good and unique idea. There's nobody on this planet that has all the knowledge and experience that I have because collectively, your knowledge and experience is as unique as your fingerprints. Sure, people will come up with similar ideas but the details can be unique.

Doing the opposite of what others are doing just to be different is stupid. You can back a horse that's fallen or back the 0-0 draw after a goal's been scored!!

Derek, what I said there is more than can be read.
I appreciate all the arguments but the message is not what it seems at first glance.

Fair enough. Perhaps I'm not intelligent enough to understand your cryptic message, which was aimed at beginners. Not much point in giving advice if it has to be deciphered.

That's the issue. If I can't understand you're message how does a beginner?

Has Liverpool won only 5 of the last 15 matches? I wouldn't be too proud of these results as a coach.

The question is how many matches would they have won if I replaced Klopp on the bench?

From somebody who's posted over 10,000 times to this forum, I've made some good posts and sometimes I've made a complete arse of myself. It's really not worth getting overly focused on one post and asking the forum to rate it.
