Hi

I’ve set stored value prices by automation in last few minutes of a race and they come up in the log perfectly.

However say I was wanting a horse to be layed at 3.2 sometimes it doesn’t lay when it gets to that price and drifts even further.

How can I make sure that it lays the horse even if it’s above my stored value by a couple of ticks?

Is this possible?

Regards

Paul.

Make sure you have the stored value condition set to 'greater' than 3.2 not 'equal to' as exact prices aren't ways traded at on in running market.

Also you might want to consider placing the bet several ticks above 3.2 to catch it if the price moves out fast, remember Betfair apply a 1 second delay to in-running bets so by the time your bet hits the market it might already be trading several dozen ticks above your odds

Hi Dallas,

Sorry, i wasn't clear enough in previous post.

I'm setting stored values by automation exactly 5 mins before the race for all runners under say 10 at a certain amount of ticks above current price.

I'm not keeping the bets in running.

I dont mind laying just above the stored value as long as it gets matched.

Most are getting matched but sometimes the price drifts too fast to get matched.

When you set the stored value save it plus however many ticks you want as your buffer.

Or if you like you can use %, as long as you round to a valid price.

Hi thanks for reply.

Ye exactly 5 minutes before race I’ve stored prices on several runners plus 10 ticks,so I’ve already done the plus 10 ticks as part of my stored value, cause I wanna lay the horses that drift 10 ticks.

Just wondered if there’s a guaranteed way of getting these matched when stored value price becomes the first back price.

Hi,
maybe u could set two svs, one at +10, and one at +12, or however many you dont mind going past +10.

place your lay bet at the sv +12, with the condition that the back price is => the sv +10.

if the +10 is still available you will be matched at that, if +11 is available you will matched at that, failing that you will be matched at +12 (if available)

good luck :)

Only guaranteed way of getting matched is to lay them at the max and get given the best available price. Sometimes even that won't be good enough if you're trading the later stages of a race.

If you're trying to get matched at around the current price in-running, the 1 sec delay will just kill you. You risk getting picked off for value, and will match every winner but hardly any losers.

you could lay it at bsp with a limit of your SV
