1st post: purchased Betangel couple of days ago probably like most newbies find it a bit a bit overwhelming very interested in the automation. Is it possible to set these Rules: 1 must have a minimum of 8 runners. 2 Lay the third Favourite. 3 third fav odds not to exceed 9 decimal. I look at Guardian and Servant but don't know what I am doing. I would appreciate any help

For what you've specially asked for you'll need a
'Place Lay bet' rule
applied to the selection 'By position (in order of favouritism) 3'

Sorry to bother you, I followed your instructions it worked selecting the third favourite. But instead of placing the lay automatically I got a drop down menu asking do I want to place the lay, I said yes and it placed the Lay bet. The second race same thing this time I pressed no, the menu as never appeared since and will not select a lay bet. hope can help

The problem with any Favourite positional systems is that they can be inaccurate . Have you back-tested your system against actual BF prices (not BF Starting Prices),or Industry SP ? the latter will be iffy ,whilst the former a lot more accurate .

The order of favouritism works perfectly. It is of course based on the order of favouritism at that moment rather than the future SP.. As good as Bet Angel is it cant predict the future (unfortunately as that would be a really good feature).

You are right ,and if I was to pursue a system of this nature rather than the order of favouritism I would go after price range/specific time before race starts .Historical price/time ranges are far simpler to research and easier to define in any automated process ...something like Handicap Chase at xxx course at xxx time and xxx price .

If I’m betting the days UK Horse racing Including the evening races .

Can I also Setup the US Horse racing With a different set of rules.

eg say UK market ends at 9 pm and the US starts at 5pm
Both Differentrules will be working at the same time Can this be done ?

entry level:
Create two separate rulesfiles and manually add one type to UK races and the other to US races.

advanced level:
Combine the rules into one rulesfile. For the US specific rules add a condition that the market name must contain (US). For the UK specific rules add a condition that the market name must not contain (US)

I don’t know what I did wrong, my Rule one was for UK market I created a rule two for the US market.
And it put two lays At Wolverhampton instead of one lay It was working perfectly until I added rule 2 US market

Hi all, hoping you can help.

I'm new here and a simple question I'm hoping you'll all be able to answer/help.

I've created a Bot and I've got a few stored values 20/10 mins out. I've automatically set the market to switch 20 minutes before to capture the stored value, however I also think its skipped/missed entire races, resulting in no bots being fired.

Am I correct in thinking that this has happened, and next to this question. Do stored values work even before I've switched to the next market.
I.e. stored value 10 mins out but swap markets automatically 2 mins before the race starts. Will it still capture the 10 min stored value without the race switching over or do I need/missing something where I have to set up another function in the settings?

Hi Emtaxx,
If your bot is switching markets 2 minutes before the race, but the stored value needs to be captured 10 minutes out, the bot must still be on the correct market at the 10-minute mark. You might need to set a condition ensuring that the market is still active at the time of capture before switching over.
