The other day I had a conversation with the neighbour on a subject and later I started to see adverts on Youtube about the subject.
Do you think Google is listening to our conversations through our phones? It wouldn't surprise me if they do.

They don't just listen, big tech watches too. Bloomberg ran a story on Facebook getting caught doing this not so long ago.

 How many million people do they employ to listen to our conversations? And how many of them have died from sheer boredom?

Dear God Derek, employing humans is the equivalent to accepting your information from a chat room rather than Guardian, humans aren't reliable or efficient, let alone fast enough to compete.... your question should be, how many people would it take to compete with Guardian.

It's the cost of your free lunch. Maybe use a different search engine?

It's the logic that gets me sometimes. I buy a washing machine from Amazon\AO etc and my FB feed is full of washing machine ads.

"Hey, that washing machine is better\cheaper than the one I just bought. Guess I'll just have to buy a spare !"

Forgot to leave the instructions for you to turn off.

Trust me, you wouldn’t want it on!

Start using Brave browser

Brave.com

It automatically blocks creepy shit

And change your search engine to duckduckgo or startpage

Hi buddy.

It's just GDPR compliance around the new 1st party cookies rather than 3rd party that's due soon. Plus you may have had some about the old G-Suite products moving to Workspace if you use them. I'm plagues by similar as I work with Google Ads and their mailbox / cloud storage products.

A decent insight is "SPYCRAFT" on Netflix.
