There are different ways to start a servant. Do you mean starting a servant using a shortcut key? And what do you mean by a "spawned window"? Do you mean like an additional one-click screen?
Sorry, yes I meant to say starting a servant from a shortcut key (Ctrl + left click, Shift + left click or Alt + left click).

...and yes, the 'spawned screens' are additional One-click or Ladder screens on different markets to the main trading screen.

TIA

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work from a spawned screen. You need to have clicked on the relevant screen to bring it into focus but sounds like you are doing that because your shortcut includes a mouse click.

James' file works well in horse racing for 1 place market - it allows the automated file to be triggered more than once but only for 1 linked automation bet in 1 place market.

What I am trying/hoping to do is have multiple bets in multiple markets and then re-arm to allow a second selection (or the same selection) to get more of the same bets triggered.

In my servant/automation files this works perfectly on the servant market selections but will trigger only once with multiple bets on the other linked markets.

So on the first servant context click the selection is backed multiple times in multiple markets - servant and automation both work fine doing exactly what they should do.

However, on the second servant context click only the servant fires the multiple bets into that market and the linked automation markets trigger nothing.

Does anyone know how to achieve this please? TIA

Adjust the files that I attached earlier in this thread to suit the specific markets you want to trigger.

Hi James - thanks for your reply - I've done this but to no avail.

Please could you try adjusting the servant to 'Allow rule to trigger up to 3 times', 'Wait 0.1 seconds before re-arming' and have 4 of these back bet files: one at best market price, one at 2nd best market price, one at third best market price and one at 1.01 all with a place/fill/kill set to 0 seconds.

When the servant is clicked it will fire 12 bets into the market and so does the trigger automation file on the linked market(s).

However if you then click the same or another selection on the servant market whilst it will correctly fire another 12 bets into the market, the trigger automation file on the linked market(s) fire nothing into their market. At least that is my experience.

So basically I'm wanting to fire multiple bets at multiple different odds into the servant market and have this replicated across multiple linked markets via the automation and then be able to do this repeatedly on the same or on other selections.

I have the servant doing this no problem but the automation will only do it once - try again on the same or another selection and the automation is not interested in triggering any more bets.

Thanks again.

The automation I built was only for horse racing. Exactly what markets are you doing this one?

Hi James - I adapted the file to be used on markets including (but not limited to):

Winner (Servant)
Top 3
Top Female
Top Male
Winner W/O

other markets I will wish to use it on include (but not limited to):
Podium Finish
Top 4
Top 5
Top 6
Top 10
Points Finish
Top 15

This servant/trigger file is a simple 'back selection in one market and back the same selection in other markets'.

I created several more complex servant/trigger files - again in all of those both the servant and the trigger file fire for the first time a servant context selection is clicked (via a shortcut key) but only the servant will fire for additional clicks of the same or another selection - the trigger file is not interested in firing again after it has completed its first round of bets.

If the servant is able to do this without any fuss surely the trigger file can do the same? Any additional help would be muchly appreciated.

if you have several back rules in the servant ie at best market price, 2nd best market price, 3rd bets market price, do each of these need to store values or should only the first back file store values for the trigger files to use? I'll try this later.

-----------------------------------------

In this basic back servant/trigger set of files, this is what I have the servant doing (Winner Market):

1) Stop All Previous Servants
2) Cancel Unmatched LAY Bets on Selection
3) Cancel Unmatched BACK Bets on All Other Selections ( Price Dependent )
4) Place BACK Bet on Selection at Best Market Price
- Always armed / Allow rule to trigger up to 3 times / Wait 0.1 seconds before re-arming / Place Fixed Amount at Best market price / Place Fill/Kill 0 seconds delay / 6 different triggered_ back SV's
5) Place BACK Bet on Selection at 2nd Best Market Price
- Always armed / Allow rule to trigger up to 3 times / Wait 0.1 seconds before re-arming / Place Fixed Amount at Best market price / Place Fill/Kill 0 seconds delay / 6 different triggered_ back SV's
6) Place BACK Bet on Selection at 3rd Best Market Price
- Always armed / Allow rule to trigger up to 3 times / Wait 0.1 seconds before re-arming / Place Fixed Amount at Best market price / Place Fill/Kill 0 seconds delay / 6 different triggered_ back SV's
7) Place BACK Bet on Selection at 1.01
- Always armed / Allow rule to trigger up to 3 times / Wait 0.1 seconds before re-arming / Place Fixed Amount at Best market price / Place Fill/Kill 0 seconds delay / 6 different triggered_ back SV's

After clicking a Servant Context Selection the above will fire 12 bets into the Servant market and into all linked markets working just as it should.

However the linked markets that will only follow these instructions once - they are not interested in repeat servant context clicks.

If the servant can repeat this, why can't the linked trigger files?

There is clearly a setting I need to add to the trigger files to get them to re-arm and be ready for a second/third/fourth set of trigger instructions from the servant...but what are those settings??? Set/Modify a Stored Value? Checkpoint? / Signal?

If the market types are all different then it's simpler because you don't need the market name text comparisons to check the difference between the various OTHER_PLACE markets for horse racing that I built this for. (2TBP, 3TBP etc)

each of the linked markets have their own SV's ie:

triggered_back_TOP3
triggered_back_TF
triggered_back_TM
triggered_back_WIN
triggered_back_WWO

as there were no 'Market Types' options available for 'PODIUM', 'PODIUM_FINISH', 'TOP_3', 'TOP_3_FINISH', 'TOP_FEMALE', or 'TOP_MALE' I deleted these conditions and deleted the Text Comparison condition - I tried with and without but have had the same result.

I think you need to use one or the other to manage the resetting of the original trigger message. 'Market type' is probably safer. The relevant 'market type' options will appear in the list when they exist in a market in Betfair at that moment in time.

OK, thanks James.

There is a "Strictly Come Dancing 2025 - Top Female" market but no option of TOP_FEMALE in the Market Type list.

Alternatively I could use Text Comparison condition and type in 'Top Female'?

The market type of this market = "NONSPORT"

So presumably there are many markets with market type = "NONSPORT".

Therefore probably safest to use both the 'market type' and 'text comparison' conditions to try and avoid future clashing errors.
