Links in the first post have been updated to point to a second version of the beta.

A description of the changes have been added at the bottom of the post, but briefly this version:

- updates the Bet Information areas to support the display / modification of a bet's persistence (Cancel, Keep, Take SP)
- fixes a couple of small bugs.

No major bugs have been identified so this should be the last build before a general release in the New Year.

Can we have a dummy Bank float for crying out loud, this would be good to see if you can grow one or not, other software has this and people have said this is the feature that have drawn them to it, but in BA defence i have said this software is much more robust and easier to use come on lets have one

Practice Mode should only be used to try out new aspects of the software or to test new Automation Rules are functioning as intended. It is not supposed to be used longer term to prove if a balance can be grown. Betfair will restrict or close accounts that constantly consume their live prices without placing live bets, so we would not want to add a feature such as a virtual bank that would encourage extensive usage of Practice mode.

You can place tiny staked LIVE bets via Bet Angel and that is by far the best way to test a strategy - it interacts with the live market rather than being a simulation and shows betfair that you are actively betting rather than just harvesting price data.

As no bugs have been reported recently, v1.60.0 has now been put on general release.
The Download pages on the Bet Angel web site have been updated, as have the links in the first post of this thread.

Just downloaded the new version and love the new features especially the ability to interface with the API. Can we expect future revisions to allow us to construct JSON requests to get selection price data, place bets, cancel bets etc?

Is it possible on the next update to have an excel template that captures all guardian info on a single worksheet please?

Looking at the API I was hoping to be able to remove from Guardian any selections that do not have any bets placed. The reason is I have all matches loaded and trades will only be taken if criteria fits within 10 mins of kick off. The criteria is based on several markets so Guardian can spend unnecessary time updating redundant selections.

You could achieve that if you use Automation alongside the API. e.g. Apply some Automation to each market that set a Stored Value at the market level with a value of 1 if you determine that you don't need the market anymore ( based on your bets criteria at a certain time ). Then use the API to query for that Stored Value, so that you get a list of the ids of all the market that you have determined you wish to remove. Then you could call removeMarkets on the API with that list of ids to actually remove them from Guardian.

The Excel interface is on a market by market basis, so aggregation of data to a new overview sheet should be done in Excel itself using a macro.

Alternatively if you just want a snapshot of the information, you can right mouse click on the markets list in Guardian and there's an option called 'Export the contents of this markets list' which will save all the values to a CSV file at that time.

Thanks will give it a go.
