How he can get away with asking to "find" 10,000 votes is beyond me. Voters would probably get prison sentences if they cast a single vote they're not entitled to!

The voting fraud in the US 202 election was on an industrial scale. Go and watch the documentary "2000 mules" on Rumble and get yourselves an education. One thing is certain, you can't get ANY truth from the BBC, on ANY subject.

Its all good news for De Santis. He's slight fav in the market now.

I'm not sure how much of an effect the abortion row will have but even with that and this testimony I don't see how the Republicans don't win the 2024 election. . Kamala Harris said in an interview the other day that Biden was running again so that's the Dems screwed you would think.

This place was awash with conspiracy nuts from election night right up to the Capitol Hill riots where people still thought Trump would win. There were predictions that the US army would take charge and reinstate Trump, Biden being arrested for his son's financial dealings, the place was a nuthouse.

1.21 for a GOP senate majority is really short considering where the SCOTUS could go from here, even if not the GOP are picking some really terrible candidates.

Also, going to be really interesting to see as to how DeSantis plays this.
Didn’t get matched, they’re now 1.61

Trump's former adviser Steve Bannon found guilty of contempt of Congress for refusing to appear before the committee investigating the Capitol Hill riots. He gets two years in prison. :D

Why don't they subponea Trump himself? Would he refuse? How many years would he get?

Bannon wont get 2 years or probably serve any jail time. He will do a deal, especially if it nails trump for the authorities.

He's already got two years but he's appealing. There's only one man for the job. Rudy Giuliani.

There will be a large number of constitutional issues which mean it would take possibly years before a former president would have to front a hearing by Congress. So as a practical matter that is all just wish thinking. And there are also constitutional issues in any move towards prosecution if any crime could be alleged by a competent authority against a former president where the crime was committed during the presidency and relates to political speech and not physical actions by the former president (eg incitement of violence - but I don't see a sucessful prosectuion on that charge even it could be run).

While it's all somewhat horrifying to see the level of delusion. No serious person can be shocked by any of the so called revelations.

If that's the case, they better get a move on before he dies! He's being investigated over his business affairs but conspiring to defraud the election, and asking somebody to "find" 10,000 votes should leave him vulnerable to criminal charges. What the president can get away with makes a complete mockery of the US constitution.

That said, we're no better. The Queen is above the law, her husband (who isn't) got away with crashing his car, causing injury and not even apologising and her favourite son who was accused of rape (and had no memory of meeting the victim he's photographed with his arm around (and even raised the possibility that the hand on her waist belonged to a dwarf standing behind her)) would potentially be immune to prosecution if he happened to be her oldest son.
