You would think no PM could be more disastrous than Johnson. Not only is Truss close to achieving his depths in just a few weeks but Johnson is one of the best they've got to take the helm again.

Truss admits that mistakes were made in her budget but she'll learn her lessons.

Rumours that some Tory MPs will be voting against the budget. :D

Liz Truss on Twitter

"Just arrived in Birmingham and it’s great to be here for my first @Conservatives
Party Conference as Prime Minister.

Together we’re focused on growing our economy and getting Britain moving"

As Del Boy would say, more front than Brighton

45p tax cut overturned.

Can't say I'm surprised, nobody wanted it apart from Liz and KK by the look of it. It only seemed to make sense to them.

One of Truss's selling points in the leadership contest is that she listens to people. She forgot to say that she then ignores them. :)

After spending a week doubling down on it
Surely her credibility is gone now

Beggars belief what they are thinking off when they make some of these policies - sounds like it was the brain child of Chris Philp

I believe nearly 30% of the Tax burden comes from the top 1% of earners so you can see the logic in trying to attract more of the big hitters to have the UK as a tax base by lowering the rate but not sure if you could get that many to overcome the £2b you actually lose in revenue.
