If I need more people I'd choose a Belgian over an Iraqi anyday, even if he was a 'skilled' worker who passed the points scoring system.
   :?

No she can't stay, you voted for her to be sent home and replaced by a man from Kabul who has slightly better qualifications. ;)

I wonder how many dodgy deals and millions the DUP will get out of this. In return they will push for a hard brexit but one that doesn't harm NI. The young, old and the morons might seriously regret their decision.

As long as it doesn't effect me then its all good for a laugh. :D

And to quote one Tory MP...

"Not the DUP...anything but that asinine bunch of fundamentalist Christian sectarian wackos"

Smarkets settled the next PM as Theresa May then reopened the market. Another reason to use Betdaq.

I would like to see Jacob Rees Mogg as the next PM. Wants brexit, witty and clearly a very intelligent and understanding guy.

Absolutely amazing result for The Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn. There's now a real chance that Labour could form a government in the near future. When you compare the two parties on talent - Labour seem to have an embarrassment of riches compared to the Tories. The fact that Boris Johnson is the strong favourite to take over from May tells its own story. Labour have the likes of Keir Starmer, Clive Lewis, Chuka Umunna, Dan Jarvis and Lisa Nandy who all look perfectly capable. Perhaps the biggest worry in the short term is May, Johnson, Davis and Fox heading Brexit negotiations. I can't see how they could ever be capable of getting a satisfactory deal, the EU now knows they're dealing with a weak entity. Furthermore, there's now now a Tory culture of going bust in the casino. First, Cameron and Osborne - now the supposed sensible one as done her money in. Where will it end?

That's a good judge of character SHR. I've always liked Moggy a lot, his constitutional knowledge is immense and his decorum is pure class. Rees Mogg, Anna Soubry, Ken Clarke all very decent intelligent people I sit up and listen to. Esp Ken when he does his Radio 4 jazz show.

Sadly none of them will me PM though. They're all on the list marked 'tory rebels' because they defy the whips far too often on principal. Like horses with more letters than numbers. About 40 Tories fit that profile.

Next leader will be someone CCHQ have a firm grip on.

Rule out the rebels and you're half way there, the answers are all in Hansard. The Tory grandees have a lot of control over who leads the party, both in vetting the nominees and a sharp eye on who's voting for who. Lots of office politics. It's not voted for by the whole membership as it is with Labour, just the MPs. That makes a big difference when selecting likely winners.

Good summary by the economist: -

You're joking aren't you?

The West has been destroyed in recent times by politically correct, central politics.

That article could have been written by that tosser Nick Clegg

There are some rumour's flying around that up to 40 Tory MPs will vote against the government when they put forward the queens speech.

Won't that cause another general election ?
