I wouldn’t worry about the election result. The bigger news is the Supreme Court appointment going through which will have lasting consequences for the USA regardless of who the president actually is or is not.
Be interesting to see if Biden wins whether or not he packs the court

Yeah the 9 current justices are there for life, but if Biden wins he could choose to 'pack the court' i.e add more justices. So he could theoretically add more justices to restore its 'ideological balance'.

There's nothing in the constitution that says anything about the number of justices the Supreme court has and its been done before. Plus Biden has refused to say he wont do it, the clearest answer he's given so far is that if he wins he'll convene a committee to examine judicial reforms.

The whole point by the Founding Fathers was to have an odd number so that the court can never be deadlocked ... it cannot be in balance ideologically or politically.

The word 'pack' gives the impression of 30-40 judges but he only needs 11 or 13. He just makes sure the extra judges are Democrats. :)

Thanks for the maths lesson but the balance I'm talking about is before RGB died the court had a 5-4 conservative majority which is as balanced as it can be, now it has a 6-3 conservative majority. Which effectively means that if one of the right leaning justices sides with the 'liberals' in a case, which has happened it wont really make much difference as the chances of 2 right leaning justices doing that are very slim.

Biden could conceivably add another 2 left leaning justices to the court restoring it to a more 'balanced' 6-5 conservative majority.

This reminds me of that film (cannot remember the name) where someone starts bumping off Supreme Court Judges. :o

Forget how big the US is sometimes. Trump's speaking in a heavy winter coat and gloves while Biden's speaking in his shirt sleeves.

Trump looks completely cooked looking at polling. At this point in 2016 he was about 1/2 the gap behind Clinton as he is with Biden. If it wasn't for the last election Biden would be $1.10.

However, Florida is really closing up which is interesting.

It's also become a lot more 'socially unacceptable' to support Trump than it was in 2016

But if you look at the polls and nothing else then you'd be loading into Biden

If anyone can make as many errors as Joe Biden has over the last few weeks (says eliminating oil and fracking, running for Senate, running against George Bush, hints at packing the court, Hunter, doing the least amount of campaigning etc) and still win then fair play the Americans must really hate Trump.

Republicans bridging the gap again by 55,000 in FL.

At this rate the GOP should be ahead there come election day, where most voters on that day are historically Rep. voters too
