Crikey! What was he thinking. On the face of it that looks like a really stupid policy. Its bordering on authoritarianism.
Since when was it illegal to criticise anything in the UK? OK inciting violence and terrorsim has to be dealt with. But vilification is nowhere near that.

I think he has. As far as is possible. The fact is sanctions and supplying weapons, intelligence and training is as far we can go. These are all things that Russia has supplied to others, so Russia can have no grievance about that. We support our friends. If only Russia was a friend, what a wonderful world it would be.

She's drifted to 1.13 after that debate. They both have an issue with admitting they were wrong. Truss does a U-turn but refuses to call it a mistake and blames her opponent's misrepresentation but completely ducked the questions when Kay challenged her over exactly what was misrepresented.

Question for the experts.

The UK borrowed £470 billion during Covid at 3% variable rate and the subsequent interest repayments are crippling. The Bank of England is sitting on £500 billion of gold resverves, therefore why cant the UK government borrow £100 billion from them at 0% interest and repay the outstanding capital amount of 5 years ?

PS. The £100 billion would be to help everyone (or the most in need) with their heating bills etc.
