 Just realised she's going to be at the despatch box answering questions. Anyone else see the potential for mirth or eyerolling exasperation in that?

Energy bills will be frozen at £2,000 per household for the next 2 years.

But it’s going to have to be paid back over 10 years by each household.

In the short term that means borrowing £90 billion alone.

Don’t think there is going to be much left for the NHS and other stuff.

I don't know what the answer is though. Goverment debt is sky high already after the pandemic and I guess Putin knew that and played his ace.

Political comedians were absolutely gutted when Johnson announced his resignation, some of them thought their careers were over. But as soon as the leadership contest was underway they realised the show rolls on. Truss might even match Johnson. :D

Her interview performances have been whince-inducing, she's so unable to dodge awkward questions it's almost unbelievable. Perhaps she should take lessons from Michael Howard.

Wind forward to 4minutes. But the preamble does inform what happens from 4mins on.

And as she's an anti-monarchist the meeting at Balmoral could be.... er frosty. Although Our Queer Old Dean will handle it impeccably, I'm sure.

Btw right clicking a video at 4mins lets you get a timestamped link like this : https://youtu.be/IqU77I40mS0?t=240

That was the one virtue about her, and now even that's gone!

a) i didn't know that
b) even if I had known I wouldn't have used it. As I said the preamble informs what happens from 4mins on. I merely pointed that out and let the viewer decide. :-)
c) if I had known and concluded I should clip it I probably would have been too lazy to do it.
