Political comedians were absolutely gutted when Johnson announced his resignation, some of them thought their careers were over. But as soon as the leadership contest was underway they realised the show rolls on. Truss might even match Johnson.

Political comedians were absolutely gutted when Johnson announced his resignation, some of them thought their careers were over. But as soon as the leadership contest was underway they realised the show rolls on. Truss might even match Johnson.

Her interview performances have been whince-inducing, she's so unable to dodge awkward questions it's almost unbelievable. Perhaps she should take lessons from Michael Howard.
