That is desperate news isn't it?

You don't really go into a race expecting that could happen. Jumps jockeys are such a brave bunch.

Very sad and thankfully it doesn't happen as often now with the on course medical teams standing by but its more common in point to points and there was a young promising Irish jockey died around 20 years ago called Kieran Kelly and there were several in the 90s iirc
