Hi. Does anyone know the reason behind Betfair's decision to stop offering live video for Irish racing and some of the UK tracks (like Chelmsford) in certain jurisdictions? Strange decision, Romania fully legalized, offices in Cluj and still live video unavailable. Live support, as usual, doesn't know the details.

"Sorry for any inconvenience, unfortunately I cannot provide you with more information about this at this time, they have been removed from several jurisdictions and at this time we have no news on whether they will be accessible again."

Sounds like a media rights issue of some sort. Can you get around this by using a VPN? Or how about other providers? Livestreams on Bet365 and Betdaq are usually the same latency.

FYI - Media rights for UK tracks are split into two. Tracks in the list below are ARC, all other tracks including Chelmsford are RMG.If the missing tracks are all not on this list then sounds like an RMG issue.

Hi James. Betfair.ro doesn't work without a Romanian IP adress. It was one of the rules when they acquired the licence. And user details are not working with betfair.com, but the exchange it's fully operational like on the.com site.

I said about Chelmsford, because it was the only UK track from yesterday without live video. Today's meatings all have video, besides the Irish ones. I was aware about media rights for UK tracks, but didn't knew much details, thanks for the heads up.
I was thinking maybe to write to Peter Jackson. Does he stll reads/answer to his messages?

I remember there were problems with Betfair closed accounts here on the forum and the issue was solved when they wrote to Peter Jackson.
