Wolverhampton ABANDONNED due to fog.
I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Glad to see the photo finish technology up at Newcastle is sound.
Apparently the far side won. Backed the winner in the photo market at average 6.6 odds.
Was surprised to get the full win after it dragged on for 5+ mins. Thought a dead heat was nailed on.

Chelmsford 16:10. NRs - Churchill's Spirit (IRE) (Withdrawn), Klammer Express (GB) (reared and unseated rider start)
Since when did we start calling these non-runners?

That's a crappy image, it's not even a line scan camera.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 3:47 pmGlad to see the photo finish technology up at Newcastle is sound.![]()

There was a rule change a little while ago that they can be retrospective if the horse wasn't given a fair chance to start.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 4:47 pmChelmsford 16:10. NRs - Churchill's Spirit (IRE) (Withdrawn), Klammer Express (GB) (reared and unseated rider start)

I thought that was specifically for flag starts in NH races where the starter has not offered a runner a fair start?Euler wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 7:00 pmThere was a rule change a little while ago that they can be retrospective if the horse wasn't given a fair chance to start.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Nov 26, 2025 4:47 pmChelmsford 16:10. Dingwall was left stuck in the stalls in the 16:30 @ Wolves yesterday but ended up winning the race. Didn't see him getting ruled a non-runner. You can't have horses getting a free bite at the cherry.
