End of the road for horses when they break a leg unfortunately. They can't survive on three legs long enough for the required healing period.

It a polytrack which means its not usually effected by adverse weather conditions so remains consistent and can be ran on all year round even when turf courses are frozen or flooded etc

I remember back in the 90s there was a spell of really severe weather one winter. All the turf meetings were called off and there was a scheduled all weather meeting due to take place. They had to abandon it as even though the track was raceable the roads leading to it were blocked by snow!
