Not sure if it's my imagination, but BSP seems to have been awful too many times for me recently.

I try not to use it too much (better to trade out pre-off), but leave take SP as backup - but everytime I've needed it recent it seems to be awful and not accurate impression of the market often.

e.g. laying a selection at 6.8, drifts to 8.6, market suspends, SP taken at 7.2 :|

I haven't analysed it in full detail, but just a feeling of my recent experiences (above type has been repeated for me several times recently).

What does anyone else think of the BSP?

It's a shit metric to base anything off IMHO.
I'm happy I spent time invested and touch of money on proper data leading to before the off on sports.

Thanks, yes glad it's not just me who has been finding it to be poor.

The problem with BSP is that your money impacts the return. So if you backtest the profitability of an automation using BSP then when you become part of the market your ROI will drop. How much depends on the proportion of your stake to the BSP market. £2 in a Uk horse race will have very low impact, whereas £1k in a Greyhound market will have huge impact.
