Made my first loss on that last race, just didn't get the measure of it. Only -£17 though!

Quite volatile markets for Royal Ascot, not surprising under the circumstances.

Had to be patient on Arthurs Kingdom there
That's where the forum helps. You can take your eyes off the ladder. :)

Generally unexciting first day. Only had one loss of -£17, which I probably should have avoided. Just played things carefully today while I tried to work out how the markets were going to trade.

I'm off to the shops to get cigarettes and some cans of beer, in case I need to put the fire out. ;)

Ascot turnover today was £15.6m up from £12.5m last year. But of course, we have an extra race today. The smallest race was £1.1m at post time versus £3.4m for the biggest. Volatility was slightly up on last year.

The stand out statistic from today was that InPlay volume was just 7.68% of total volume. Nearly 93% of the money was matched pre-off. Never seen such a low percentage as a total of matched bet turnover. My bot did miss one race by error, but it was consistent across the card.

Very quiet first race.
