Hello all,

As a novice would you recommend trading between the range as a good place to start? My thinking is to back at the top of the traded range and exit somewhere near the bottom. My exit would also happen quickly if the range is broken for a small loss.

Thanks

It can be, but be mindful of the market you're doing it in, the odds and the timeframe. For example: it's usually unwise to be doing this just before the money comes in when the last race finishes, or just prior to post. I'd keep a note of your big losses (or a reference to a video), to help you minimise the times it doesn't work. In my opinion, range trading has a lot in common with scalping, so the advice about suitable scalping markets could help here too.
