Thrilled I've lived long enough to see this and to have actually backed the winner as well! :D
Well done

Thanks.

What was really needed were the crowds to see it live.

I've never enjoyed watching those 9.5 minutes of carnage so didn't watch it, but fantastic news. You all know how much I love women. :D

Anyone see Kevin Blake's tip this morning to take an Irish 1-2-3-4 for 50/1?

I asked the trading muppets at Betfair to add Rachael to the SPOTY market on 19 March, but they chose not to - great shame.

The question is whether she qualifies for the main award - I think she does as her major achievements have taken place in the UK even though she's not British. I'm sure they would love to have a female winner which would be the first since 2006 when Zara Phillips won.

You definitely want her in the market if she can't win it. ;)

by 1997 Rusedski had become a British citizen and was also resident in the UK so qualified on both those grounds.
