Just goes to show how overrated the jumps lads are really - all flat jockeys managed a better jumping round even at speed than many jumps jockeys do!
Adds to my thoughts for some time that looking at jump jocks for making much difference is a big waste of time - noting that even some champions/near top in jumps are bang average in skill level - they ride a lot of better horses, that's what matters for them.

Also rather mad to see a strong odds-on shot in this race - surely a rather dangerous bet with such an odd setup.
It tailed in 4th.

Would be interesting to see the jump jockeys and flat jockeys compete against their counterparts in each other’s discipline.
Maybe a 3lb allowance or similar just to slightly level the playing field. There have been one or two instances of ho keys making permanent switches as they’ve outgrown flat racing, and I believe this would be the problem with the bigger picture…
Easy enough for the 9 stone flat jockeys to ride a jumps horse but not so easy for the 10+stone jump jockeys to get down to flat racing weights without bringing up the bottom weights significantly.
