Hi,
Would be interested to see if people were willing to share any old pre race automated systems that are no longer profitable. This might be good food for thought in developing new ones. Ill start the ball rolling with my lay all the racing post spotlight horses 20 mins before the off which was very profitable for me 2 years ago but has been treading water since covid. Might have something to do with the new SP system.
Thanks in advance.

Always interesting to see ways people have been profitable in the past.PapaShango wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 6:06 pmPrices no longer being returned from course, since covid.
If you are laying 20 mins before the off then how can a lack of on-course SP influence your profitability?

So your thinking is that on-course bookies were overly cautious of spotlight selections, therefore resulting in under-value industry prices, which in turn similarly influenced the Betfair markets. Seems plausible.jerry123456 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 6:14 pmSorry typo by me should have read 2 minutes before the off.
What drives industry SP now in the run up to the off?

Its just a theory I dont have anything to back it up but one narrative could be that off track punters both online and particularly in shops are influenced by the tip in the Post. This would be alot less relevant at the race track where Punters typically will bet larger and in singles. Last I checked was still profitable before commission, it was always a high turnover low profit system so probably didnt need much to change to flip to unprofitable.
