VPS: 16:52:03 - Your PC needs to be restarted following important updates. [Restart now?] [Restart later?]
Me: 16:58:47 - It's right in the middle of Royal Ascot. I'll restart later thanks.
VPS: 17:07:11 - [restarts anyway]

Had to do this recently as well. Look into 'configuring group policy for windows' if you want the option 'Ask me to install updates'. Think it gives you 31 days to do it at your discretion.

Does anybody trade the other meetings in between ascot? Seems like every loss I’ve had over the past two days has been on the stuff in between. Been doing ok at ascot. Lesson learnt I think.

I checked for updates a few days ago. I understand that restarting of Windows machines is just a fact of life, I just wish they would let you do it in your own time. I specifically clicked on the 'restart later' option and the %&*#er went and restarted 5 mins later anyway.

I have adjusted my active hours to a slightly more palatable time, but the trouble is it's all auto-trading on stuff 24/7.

I just do the updates on the first day of every month.

I've never had my PC force a restart on me.

Yeah its hard to find the time when you're betting 24/7

Ascot this year on Betfair £25m vs £20m last year +23%
No bookies on-course last year so would expect all numbers to be up, as lads hedging from the track.

My firm lost 18k to the machine so far ..

3rd was very unlucky, maybe winning distance too far but 1.01 backers sweating

Tricky first two races, third looks tricky.

Totally agree with the first two being tricky. Got a better read on the third.

Nice bounce on Bolthole there. Big stakes came for king of time, tranquil night and bolthole at around the same
