My account has yet to meet the criteria for the RNSW Turnover Charge. The first time I will be afforded a one-week ‘grace period’, right? If that's true, anything I should be aware of, not doing until then?

It is a courtesy, so I wouldnt abuse it. If you think you are close to the limit, I wouldnt intentionally go beserk and try to max out your 'free first week'
