Hi, I currently use atr horse pace variable when refining a Dob selection. For example,if there are 2 horses in a race that have previously dobbed in last 3 races, I use the pace rating on at the races site to determine the better horse to use.
My question is this...is the greater the pace rating a better way of highlighting the more probable dobbing horse when choosing between 2 qualifying horses that have dobbed in a race?

I'd lean towards the ATR pace rating (higher the better) as a confirmation if you've already found a short-list of potential dobbers.

It's also worth cross referencing the Racing TV pace maps as well.

These two sites should have enough info for dobbing.

https://bto.racingpost.com/ and https://www.winningwarlock.com/in-runni ... tings.html

Ideally you want a horse that's the only front runner in the field, but just that alone won't make it a good dob, you'll have to look at the whole race and figure out how it will play out.

If you look at the 18:25 Tipperary these two horses have good pace and dobbing stats, will they dob I don't know you'll have to look deeper into the race, but these two sites have good info.
