I wonder what the threads would look like if Roll and Woods were swapped over.

Anyhow, it looks like it's led to Tiger Woods being pulled from the Grand National.

Not much chance of Tiger Roll cheating on his Mrs as he's a gelding! :D

It's not very nice to sit on a dead horse but it's not the worst thing in racing you can do, and he only sat down to answer his phone. I might have done the same myself.
The image shows him with a smile on his face.

Imo I don't think he's posing, but why on earth anyone would sit on a dead horse to take a call is beyond me. The timing of this hitting social media is interesting & whoever took that picture probably took it with the intentions of it being an investment... I have to wonder how much money he refused to pay up for it not to be released.

I think his judgement was poor but I bet somewhere down the line he's been through the ringer to try and stop that from getting out, after all he's very much likely to be done, I'd imagine it will be more than just Betfair that pull the rug from beneath him.

Clearly he didn't just sit down just to answer the phone, he was posing. That's quite disgusting but I don't think a trainer should be banned for showing a lack of respect to a deceased horse.
Changed my mind after seeing more footage on Sky News. I wouldn't trust him to look after my horses.

Didn't think Sky News was worthy of your credibility radar Derek?

I'd imagine it may be out of context, but why would you do that in the first place anyhow?

You can't pick your nose now without it going viral so any pictures anywhere you think have the potential to do that.

Anyhow, it looks like it's led to Tiger Roll being pulled from the Grand National.
The reason given by the owners is what they consider an unfair weight.

It seems another photo has emerged showing amateur jockey Rob James doing a similar riding a dead horse stunt. I've always naivley thought that people involved in this industry have a great love of horses. They're often drawn from the farming communities. When I first saw the Gordon Elliott photo I hoped it was a fake. Could not believe something like this could happen especially at a time when there are organisations campaigning to ban racing as they believe it's cruel.

Worse than that its a video. Whatever excuses can be made for Elliott and it being a momentary lapse and it maybe looking worse than it was James can have no such excuses made for him, absolutely disgusting.

Hopefully the IHRB get their finger out and hand down the appropriate punishment.
