I agree, I was basically responding to your suggestion we should PM such exchanges.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 1:33 pmExcept that most of the time they're just opinions or perspectives. How about rectifying all the erroneous information about trading there is on here? While you two were bickering you've got new people asking how to compound stakes..... Where's the fact vigilante then?firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 7:12 amIf someone says something in public you disagree with you must object in public or the post you think to be in error gets carried by the lack of anyone contesting it

Does anyone know how Betfair manage horse racing markets when there is a photo finish or Steward's?
I notice they often suspend these markets a good few seconds before the announcement is heard on Betfair Live. Do they have a rep at the track, or perhaps some other way of knowing a result is shortly expected?

I don't know but whatever they do it's delayed ... the prices always confirm the winner a few seconds before the market is suspended.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 5:37 pmDoes anyone know how Betfair manage horse racing markets when there is a photo finish or Steward's?

Pockets of genuine liquidity are super rare on the exchange overall

I've been trading UK horse racing full-time for several months and only twice has there been a sweep of the market before suspension in a photo finish. So it does happen, but it's very rare. Which is what led me to ask the question. I've yet to see a sweep of the market ever just before suspension in a stewards.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:49 amI don't know but whatever they do it's delayed ... the prices always confirm the winner a few seconds before the market is suspended.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 5:37 pmDoes anyone know how Betfair manage horse racing markets when there is a photo finish or Steward's?
