But there is 5k/h limit now and not so many races per day. I think they'll squeeze in.

People aren't parasites and arsholes if they're playing by the rules or putting time and effort into using the rules to their advantage. There's no 'spirit of the rules' when money is involved.
I apologize for that, guess LinusP is right, I'm bored (and tired) of the game. Don't wanna evolve and adapt, don't find it interesting anymore. Just want to make bussiness as usual until it dries out completely.

Nasty fall in the first race at Lingfield stopped. But jockey looks OK. Race will be void.

Don't panic. They're only talking about passive bets. ie bets that would not get matched on placement.

They announced trials on football and tennis a couple of months ago.

Markets are listed on this thread. https://forum.developer.betfair.com/for ... or-updates

There is the following comment from Betfair on horse racing:
Hi mac, with regards to Horse racing, yes this is being considered. First goal is scaling to all tennis, followed by larger match testing on football. We will then review which other sports can complement the scaling approach, but racing is in the plans.

I don't know what can be improved in a market mechanics, to me, as I've already wrote - everything is fine, predictable and transparent enough, I have put down roots and I am not ready for such radical changes.
I can say only obvious things like: more advertising, more work with young people (not lure them in ofcourse but fight for a share of them with those gdamn roobinhood-like apps), show them that sport exchanges are cool too (maybe use famous athletes for this, gamificate some aspects of their products, like bf did with that thingy where you can see and feel markets and place some virtual bets, remember? I liked that app, it was simple yet informative and easy almost instantly accessible).
I'd imagine BF are doing it because their cross matching bots take the majority of money out of in running markets at source, that leaves very little appearing on the market as offers. With a zero delay for unmatched bets it should at least give the impression there's more liquidity and possibly encourage people to send bets after those offers. Personally I see it as a good thing , be even better if they did away with the in running delays for markets like the horses all together.

Interesting. Just last night or is it a pattern? Is there a delay on US horses still?

There's still a delay on them all. The passive/active order changes haven't been fully deployed yet.

This looks like how Betfair will get the passive bets into the market. (one way anyway)

Something called, matchme. When you go to place a bet pre-off, don't know if it's the same in-play

MatchMe has been around for a few years. It's a tool that will automatically match you within a set % of your requested price. Not connected with the new passive delay bypassing.
