HKJC will not license it and are very aggressive when people offer markets on it without their permission.

These markets are so dead, It's painfully slow getting matched.

Is there a reason that Hong Kong racing isnt on the Exchange ? Seems like a lot of liquidity in those markets judging by the Worldpool
They tried it for a few weeks 3-4 years back (might only have been to the AU market). As Peter said, the HKJC weren't all that happy about it. They released a public statement that was along the lines of "we're not mad at Betfair, just disappointed" lol.

What difference does it make to the HKJC if Betfair in the UK were to have markets on their racing ?

Interesting
" HKJC said Betfair is acting without a licence or its permission, adding it has “zero-tolerance” towards issues relating to integrity and intellectual property rights."

Intellectual property rights over a horse race :o

Andrew Black on the Opening Show re: affordability checks. Basically there intrusive, affecting gambling revenue already, they need to separate horse/football etc gambling from casino gambling, Gambling Commissioning not accountable, affordability has already sent people to the black market, racing is in danger of being like greyhound racing in 10 years time as everyone will be in casino's.

Difficult to disagree with anything he said.
