Anyone else notice that every now and then "take SP" on Australian racing doesn't work?
I've posted this 100 times already, but there is a hierarchy for BSP and TakeSP does not literally mean "turn this bet into an SP bet"

There is a hierarchy where BSP bets are 1st, then (I think) BSP limit, then (I think) TakeSP

Post the actual details and it will be much easier for people to figure out what is going wrong for you. There will be a reason but without the details it is near impossible to see what the reason is.

Moone Valley has been okay but a bit below my expectations. Though I think that may be more down to my performance than the markets tbh. How did others find it?

Thanks! Yes I've seen it debated before. This question was more about how often it happens...And then my next question would be something like what's your solution.

Without the details of the question, i.e. what bets you are actually trying to place that aren't working, it is very hard to provide the answer.

You are probably being nibbled down below the minimum.

I’ve never not had a take sp unmatched (no matter they size).

It’s not a patch on Caulfield or Flemington.

Then the only answer can be that there was not sufficient money between the SP bets and the unmatched bets at time of suspension to match your bet, therefore there is nothing you can do about it as there was no one willing to match your bet.

Do you have the bet id or preferably the full log? Send it to betfair and ask them about it.

Was it a lay bet or a back bet?

Did you place it manually or auto?

And was it a manual or auto trigger to change it to take sp ?

///

Final question, did the bet change status or not change status? Was the problem that it would change status to take sp or are you saying it changed status and wasn’t matched?

Thank you very much! Good questions! Will ask them next time it happens.

Hello Aussies.

Tony is the name, Aussie racing is the game. Hoping to dominate pre-off. Any tips?

Cox plate day. Can an "average" horse from the UK, win Australia's weight for age championship?

I guess not is the answer - https://www.theage.com.au/sport/racing/ ... 592hv.html

Scratched.

That's a real shame, I was looking forward to see how he ran this time and if the pace in the last race was really the reason for the poor run. Also James Mc must be really gutted to not have a ride now after the week in quarantine. Mounga is my pick for the race.

One of the many things I like about Oz racing is that we don't have to wait months to see a horse run again, you really get to know and latch onto horses, I am looking forward to seeing Elephant run later, my favourite horse this year.

Markets seem to be good so far.

Was going to review the numbers later. So that's interesting.
Did you run the numbers?

I saw this data earlier:

Key metrics from Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup last Saturday - domestic wagering turnover $143m (new record) up 11% YoY (2020 $129m, 2019 $97.5m). Heavy 8 v Soft 6 (2 upgrades this year). Starters 106 v 112 LY (down 5.4%)

Total domestic turnover for the 3 days of the Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup Carnival was $297m up 12.4% YoY (2020 $264m, 2019 $215m).
Bump - Peter?
