Australian racing
It's very interesting, isn't it? It's also interesting how when such players are in action, the market liquidity nose dives in response. So say a horse jumps @ $10, is a know leader and is backed straight to $3 in a 1600m race. This is a clear lay. But if you lay this horse you really need to be prepared to let the bet run because there's typically not the liquidity to get back out at a higher price unless the horse doesn't win. So you wipe out if the horse wins and make a small trade profit if it doesn't. However, when these participants aren't about, the liquidity is much better and the market is more forgiving. In the UK liquidity is so good you can make money in play without even watching the race.
I thought I'd put in an early morning shift today.
07:10 was an interesting market. Big plunge on passive-aggressive.
