Welcome to Caulfield Cup and Everest day.

Will Derek's chips survive until the Everest?

Will Peter do some manual trading and disturb his wife at 3 am?

Will Dallas make an appearance or sleep through and leave it to the bots.

Good luck to all.
I've quit Aussie trading now. It's not worth it for just two NSW races, having to watch my chips for the second. I'll probably pop in for the big week. Good luck.

Is the Everest a 'bigger' race than the Caulfield Cup?

I guess it depends how you are measuring it.

It won't be from a trading perspective but $15m in prize money is massive from a racing perspective.

Yep
"The Melbourne Racing Club has today announced the intention to close Caulfield’s course proper for six months after the 2022 Spring Racing Carnival as the track undergoes renovations with the build of an inner track.

As part of the $300m vision for Caulfield Racecourse announced in 2019, the second track immediately inside the course proper will cater for increased racing at the venue and pave the way for the Club to race at Caulfield up to 45 times a year, giving members and fans more opportunities to watch racing at the Club’s marquee racetrack."

After two big years volumes are soft today at Caufield. Maybe the fact people are back at the track is pinching on-line volumes.

Half of Victoria is underwater today. (ETA it's possible people's minds are elsewhere)

It takes a while to realise it's Saturday when you haven't traded Australia!

Delay at the Valley as a thunderstorm rolls in.

Will be gutted if they don't run the Group 1.

There is a band of the same weather for 2000km or more - and it's going to last for at least a week
