Not sure if anyone uses it but you could download a tracker app for the aintree festival. It looked pretty good, tracks the speed, position e.t.c
Could this be the future of horse racing? Would make inplay more interesting,as you could start to look at relative speeds....
Channel 4 Horse Tracker
All it did was show the horses position, such as 1st 2nd etc

There used to be something out years back by tuftrax, they had transponders within the horses seat cloths. There was even betting software, I think it was on the ST? (something that's driving me mad). You could click on the horse and it placed the bet. It was good, but short lived.

Interesting, I could see them doing this for every race. If it gave actual cordinates you could have quite an edge. Having automation based on relative speeds / accelerations..
You could then create profiles on horses, based on their current weight/ground. You could almost predict who is going to win from the last corner, something I am sure many can do by just watching...

I just remebered the name of the software. It was STW.
Found a video of a guy using it. The voice is out of sync with the video, but you get the idea.

Contrary to what some people will try and tell you, Sports trading workstation was launched at a similar time but a short while after Bet Angel. A fair bit later they included integration with Turf Trax data. To add to the back story, STW actually tried to buy Bet Angel, but we rejected their offer.
I visited Turf Trax in Salisbury to see if we should integrate it way back then, but the technology was too early for the market and was eventually abandoned.

That's what I am thinking, the biggest and fastest bots will catch the worm the rest will left with the crumbs. So why would anyone that has neither go IP now?
Will be a battle of the bots, Drone Bot v GPS Bot
