This is a basic Guardian automation rule mainly for use on Tennis markets, the bot is to lay a player using a £10 liability stake if his or her name is on the 'Text Comparison Condition', then if they lost the previous set it will green up 10 secs after the start of the new set
For the purposes of setting up this example I've populated this list with this years top 10 men's and women's seeds for the upcoming US Open, but you can of course edit this to include whatever players you want
For example you might have a list of players who are often slower starters in matches and therefore ideal for this type of rule
If the players in your list will usually start as favourite or even a strong favourite the advantage of a bot like this is you get two bites of the cherry and chances of a profit, if they lose the first set you will green up for a good profit, but even if they win the first but then lose the second set you'll still be in a healthy green position.
So providing the player doesn't win 2-0 you will make a profit - of course you can also edit the rule so that it begins taking out some profits or reducing liability even if they get broke or face a break point, there are just so many ways you can take a bot like this depending on the players you are targeting
If your list of players in continually changing and updating between tournaments then you can add a rule to automatically look up the names from a .csv file, the following blog post explains more about how to set that up

How it works and using the Rules File
Once you have it imported into your Guardian you can edit those (or any other parts of the file) anyway you want or remove them and add your own rules to use the recent form very easily by clicking on "Edit Rules File".
Please refer to the 'Note' tab for a more detailed explanation on how each rule works and how it may be connected/linked to other rules within the file
Downloading and Importing the File
To use the file just click on the 'Lay Selected Players and Green Up if they Win Previous Set.baf' links below and that will download it to your computer, then with guardian open on the "Automation" tab click "Import a Rules File" as shown in the image, once imported it will now appear in the pick list area just above, you can now apply it to any markets you have added into guardian.
