Thanks,
Firstly, very new to betfair and bet angel..
I am looking at something similar to what you have above for horse racing before jump, with slight variations, and a few quick questions if possible:
1. I was going down a different path with someone else using an excel spreadsheet, however after downloading your file, it seems much simplier - is one bettter than the other?
2. System I want is to dutch bet multiple runners (in order of market) at jump, but this will be changing from race to race. For example race 1 dutch 2/3/4 favourites at jump, race 2 1/2/5/7 favourites at jump, race 3 1/3/6/10 favourites at jump etc. As there are potentially 100's of combos and dont think building a rule for each is efficient - is there a way you recommend to do this?
3. Can betfair start price be used to back bet in Aust/english horse racing?
4. Is there any freelancers who can help write bots on here that you recommend?
Thanks, any feedback is much appreciated.

1, Guardians Advanced automation is slightly faster than excel and uses fewer resources but what you're wanting to do with them you won't see any noticeable differenceprowsey182 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 3:34 amThanks,

2, You'll need to create a rules file for each strategy, yes, so if strategy 1 is to back 2nd, 3rd & 4th fav and strategy 2 is to back 1st, 2nd, 5th & 7th fav you'll need a file for each
3, Yes you can place a bet and mark it to take SP or if placing the bet in-play once the SP is known you can place it at whatever price the SP was
4, I'd always recommend learning to use advanced automation yourself, it's quite simple to use once you've spent a few hours looking at and anything your stuck on your can ask on here
Also, it will mean you can do all your own changes rather than having to keep going back and paying someone for every little change and idea you want to test.

In the native betfair interface using a dutching strategy, you can choose multiple selections to back, and select 'stake' to spread your total stake across all bets. This results in the same profit regardless of the winner.
For instance, a total £20 bet across 3 selections with different odds - ie, 1.9, 4.5, 5.0 would all have the same £ profit if any 1 of the 3 wins. Is there a way to achieve this in guardian? I assume it would require using a signal, but can't quite figure it out... Any help appreciated

The Bet Angel Dutching tool has this and several other staking options for manually dutching, some examples in the link belowmarkbet247 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 10:31 pmIn the native betfair interface using a dutching strategy, you can choose multiple selections to back, and select 'stake' to spread your total stake across all bets. But for automation there is only the book% staking method (which this bot uses), that will give you an equal profit on the selections you pick but doesn't have all the staking methods the main dutching tool has

Thank you.
I did think that was the case.

Hi Dallas
Fairly new, been looking through the library of automation. This relates more to Servant perhaps but I'd like to set up dutching using Servant on top 2/3 horses towards end of the race using a specific stake size. Obvioulsy, there is a good chance they may not be the pre race favourites. Could I use this automation and how would I alter it to select best 2 or 3 in the near end of race market? I'm at a basic level with this so far.
Thank you for all your help.
Best wishes
Graeme

If you're always wanting to back the same runners ie, 1st-3rd fav, or 2nd, 3rd fav etc then you can still use this file as a servant as it will back whichever are 1st-3rd fav the moment you start the servantMickleton wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 11:26 amHi Dallas

You'd just need to change the rule trigger times from Pre-Race to 'Always Armed', then you can run as a servant and start in one of the following ways

Hi Dallas
Thanks for quick reply. Have used Servant before but only on 1 horse so just Control and left click on that one selection on the ladder. Where do I click for the 2 or 3 Dutch as the horses could be both outsiders and obviously not all ladders are on screen. Can I use the In Play screen?
Thanks

If the file is to back 1st-3rd fav as this one does it won't matter which selection you click on it will place the bets on whichever are the 1st three in the betting at the time you start the servant.Mickleton wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 12:42 pmHi Dallas

It's only if you want to nominate specific runners on the fly each race, ie, if your watching tv pics and want to back certain runners which could be in different orders each race and at the time you want to start the servant it would need to be done a different way

Please excuse the terrible newbie type questions. Can I confirm a couple of things with this?
1) With the default setup my total liability would never be more than £10.00?
2) Does the automation output a profit report at all?
3) What happens if a race is suspended?
4) Have people been making small but regular returns with this?
Thanks in advance

1) Its uses the staking method by book% so it depends what odds you are Dutching, the way its calculated is explained hereTallblokeUK wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 10:15 amPlease excuse the terrible newbie type questions. Can I confirm a couple of things with this?

2), You can add a rule to export the P/L and arm it to trigger whenever you want, or there is an option on the 'Advanced' tab in Guardian to 'Export reports on market closure'
https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/pro ... ports.html
3), Not sure what you mean?
All markets get suspended then unsuspended at the off and then suspended when the race finishes before the market is eventually closed and settled
4), No idea, no one can see another persons betting activity or P/L

With regards to making a profit, I guess I was asking anecedotally if people find this works over the course of a day for small gains?
A follow on question, what would happen in a race with just 4 or 5 runners... would it still work and be worthwhile?
Hi Dallas
I'm experimenting with automation in test mode for the first time but finding it hard to know what I'm actually achieving. I understand you can set up a rule but it's not immediately obvious to a newcomer how to do that to produce meaningful information. A report containing Strategy , Event, Odds, Amount, and Result would be extremely useful . Could you walk us through how to set up a rule or rules to export and compile the results please, or ideally produce a video? Or even more ideally add another magic button to save the brain strain!
Many thanks in advance.
