Please can I get some guidance setting up a simple B2L automation.

Can I first ask, I take it with automation we still have to set an exit based on how many ticks we want, there is no way to set a %?

I would like to set up a simple B2L automation but one where I can choose which horse I want the automation to apply to.
I noticed with the video with Peter importing a tennis baf there was an option to choose which player to apply the automation to as a drop down menu in Guardian under 'Automation Nominated Selection 1' is this possible to set up on a horse race?

Or do I need with each race to select the horse by using 'Edit rules file' and then under General - Applies to selection - Choose selection - by name?

Also with a Keep Bets rule can I apply it under General - Selection (conditions only) - ANY Selection?
Or does it also need to be Choose selection - by name. if I want the rules to apply to my one chosen horse in the race?

Thank you in advance for any help.

You can change the offset from ticks to % on the parameters tab, it's also made so that you can select the horse/s you want to B2L on the main guardian page (just like on the video you seen).

I have a similar rule to this, back to lay, back bet goes in OK, lay appears telling me the lay odds aimed for, the lay bet and the odds the stop will be triggered at. Problem I can see from the log is when the stop is triggered the new lay bet is the amount of money as the original lay?? Therfore the lay is for far too much money:

05/06/2017 19:23:57: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
05/06/2017 19:28:59: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended
05/06/2017 19:40:45: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
05/06/2017 19:40:45: Guardian has detected that the market is in-play
05/06/2017 19:40:45: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended
05/06/2017 19:40:49: [G_Auto] : £ 25.00 Back bet placed on Udontdodou at 3.85. Fully matched at 3.95. Ref: 10203 ( Offsetting by 100 ticks with greening. Trailing Stop at 10 ticks. Place stop at 20 ticks )
05/06/2017 19:40:50: [G_Auto] : £ 58.43 Lay bet placed on Udontdodou at 1.69. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 10204
05/06/2017 19:41:05: Stop triggered. Modify bet 10204 from 58.43 @ 1.69 to 58.43 @ 5.4 New Ref: 10205
05/06/2017 19:42:01: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended

From the matched bets log it seems both bets were matched, including New Lay 10205 although the log is not reporting this??

Confused!

Logs only report what happens as a bet arrives in the market (matched, unmatched, offset etc)

The log shows your stop was triggered and placed within 15 secs of the back bet being matched, i would not advise using a stop with such a large offset amount. Stops use the offset bet as their value so you will massively over lay your trade doing this, unless you run a separate green up rule afterwards but that could get even messier

That seems a bit strange Dallas, surely the software should work out the correct new lay to place at the required stop if the market reverses?

That's why a 'global settings' stop loss can only be selected and used with a offset bet

So in the automation rule I have created, where you expect a horse to win from the off, but want to guard against a reverse, how should I configure my stop please?

If your using a stop in-running i would always advise using a monetry one as that can at least be set to trigger multiple times so far more likely to get you out (unlike a global setting stop loss which will only trigger once)

Its actually gave me an idea to create a trailing monetary stop loss for the shared files library, I've got a few others to post first but will add to my list - so thanks for the idea ;)

Funnily enough I was going to ask how to write a trailing stop loss for in running if using the trailing stop didn't work as I had hoped!! Was thinking about setting signals for a monetary value?? Not sure that can be done though!!

Yes if you set a signal as the profit increases £1, £2, £3 etc then on your green up rules use a 'profit cond' and 'Signal Set Cond' to identify which ones are or are NOT set

Did you get a chance to take a look at this Dallas?

Was thinking, could I use signals to monitor in running odds and green out on a reverse. Thinking set signal on fixed odds condition, if odds stay below FO setting leave it run but monitor shortening of odds. Once odds reverse by a set amount green up?? Not sure this is possible??
