Hi, I wondered would you be able to help me with 1 final rule on this - I just cant get it- my problem is that if the lay is taken the rest of the horses are 0, which is great, however if the horse that laid suddenly gets a spurt of energy, even after hitting 150% and steams back in, its a big loss, is there any condition I can put in to help combat this?

Many thanks

You can add a 'Close trade on selection with greening'
with the following conditions
Trade profit condition (with greening) is less than -£1.00
Stored Value condition
the LTP
is less than
(and input where you want to exit, ie, when less than the actual SP, or when less than a fixed price etc)

You need to decide when you want the stop to trigger, ie, a fixed price, a number of ticks/percent, a loss amount etc

Then enter that as the last part of the stored value (depending which you want to use you might need to store a value at the entry price to use)

If you are just stopping at a loss amount you don't need the stored value condition
Just the 'Close trade on selection with greening'
with the condition exactly as advised above

Sorry Dallas but I cant get this to work properly - the close trade is closing as soon as go in play - im trying to do it after the 150% is matched? this is the log

That log is showing the original DOB back bets are still being used, I thought you were wanting to lay when it drifted out 150% from BSP?

But even so if its set up to trigger when less than -£1.00 it shouldn't be triggering when it has done because a £4 back bet at 5.7 wouldn't have a loss of more than £1 just 2 ticks later

I am still using the DOB but was also covering by the lay at 150% its just when it comes back in again to try and cover that, I had changed the loss to -50p , just to try small stakes to start with

Hello Dallas,
If I wanted to run this bot on say, the second favourite would I have to go into all the rules and change the stored values to reflect the selection as "in position2 (sorted in order of favouritism)".
Thanks

Just so i'm understand you are backing with the original DOB bot, then if it drifts out to 150% you then want to place a lay bet (which will effectively close the original DOB as a losing trade - but you'll break even if it goes on to lose)
But if it comes back in again the loss will increase and thats when you want to green up?

You'd just need to change the selection each rule is applied to on the General tab

But as the fav order will change when the race gets undersay you'll also need to add a 'Fix order of market selections' rule armed to trigger 1 time just before the back bet rule triggers

That will ensure the other rules will trigger on the same selection no matter how the prices change thereafter
